Isadora Duncan Dance Festival

Grass Valley, May 4-8, 2005

Thank you everyone involved who made this possible. I had never heard of either Isadora Duncan or the Lori Belilove Dance Company before this.
E.J. had painted some backdrops for their stage performance here at the Center for the Art, we had been organizing the accompanying art show and the benefit auction the week after the performances. I was fortunate enough to get a chance to fotograph during all this.
The dancing was delightful to watch, as well as challenging to fotograph. If you get a chance, take the time and see them dance. It's worth it!!!
Between the dance company, E.J. Gold and the Grass Valley Graphics Group, the Center for the Arts and others, it took lot of work and effort to make it all happen.
I am grateful for the beauty and grace of the dance, the learning about Isadora, as well as the opportunity to level up my foto skills. If I get (it together to get) permission, I will put some more dance photos up sometime. I have several favorites.

The week after the event, the music and movements still with me, not knowing how to paint or make music or dance like that, I wondered:

How can I live grace and beauty in the midst of everyday grind?

It was so much fun to watch E.J. do the auction. It's hard to resist bidding on a few pieces...:-)
