Reminds me a bit of times gone by...
...the window at Stucki's in Grass Valley this year.
For weeks, one of the display windows was hidden from view, no peeking was allowed or possible. Sent in on a little mission by E.J. Gold, I looked around in the store and took some pictures. It was a pleasure to speak with the owners.
James Arbaugh, the current owner, has overseen the operations of Stucki Jewelers for the past 10 years.
Just a bit of history. In the Fall of 2005, the Swarthout’s retired
and the Arbaugh’s took over ownership of the store.
Turns out the store has history, and this year saw a revival of what used to be
a tradition in the store many years ago.
It used to be that the store would display model trains in the window at certain times.
What a great idea to continue that tradition
